Summer of 2020 Black Lives Matter Movement Protests Oral History Project

A series of eight oral history Interviews conducted by Santana Adams in the wake of the 2020 Summer Protests. Interviewees discuss their personal backgrounds, level of educational attainment, life during the COVID-19 pandemic, and their experiences of the protests. Interviewees also discuss the killing of Breonna Taylor, the Black Lives Matter organization, and the concept of 'defund the police.' Lastly, interviewees offer their suggestions for police reforms to reduce instances of police brutality and violence perpetrated against people of color.
