This project focuses on the Ku Klux Klan, particularly during the 1920s. Interviewees discuss the nature and ideals of the Klan, as well as Klan membership, meetings, rallies, parades, ceremonies, and costumes. Other topics include why people joined, Klan violence, the level of secrecy in the Klan, and the impact it had on individual lives, as well as the community at large.
