24 minutes. Vivian Jones-Wright deputized as the first African American Deputy Sheriff of Oldham County 1995 under the leadership of Sheriff Wally Nay. Her current title, also a "first", is Administrative Sergeant. All Oldham County taxes and finances of the department are handled by Sergeant Wright. Since 1999 to present day, Wright returns for annual 40- hour training keeping her firearms skills, driving skills, Homeland Security and other training classes up to date and in compliance with accreditation policy. Wright's first love is and has been the Youth Football League where she has been involved in the Board for more than 20 years.
