Vernon Wells talks about his experiences in the CCC at Mammoth Cave National Park, Camp 2, and later as a ranger in the years of the development of the park. Topics include training at Fort Knox, Emergency Conservation Works (ECW), road conditions, removing former land owners from park property, CCC relationships with the local community, moonshining and bootlegging, and court cases relating to the acquisition of the park.
