Theodore (Ted) Herps talks about working in the Machine Shop at the American Printing House for the Blind from 1952 until his retirement in 1993. The Machine Shop maintained plant machinery and also made braille slates. Herps talks about working on parts for the Lavender Braillewriter and describes the us of a Banbury mixer in the production of talking books.
