He participated in track and cross country in high school and college. Historical African American neighborhoods he recalled were Montpelier, Gadberry, Fairplay and Flatwoods. His parents were Anishia Cheatham ingram adn Harry Ingram. He was born in 1955 in Columbia, KY.
