29 minutes. Nancy Cassady Doty was the first woman elected to the Oldham County Fiscal Court and served two terms from 1981 to 1989. In the 1950s Nancy worked as a teacher's aide and organized a group called Helping Hands that helped people financially unable to meet their bills for medicine, rent, and utilities. Later she began working in the Tri-County Community Action finding fulfillment in "helping make people's lives better". Interested in helping the County, she ran for Magistrate of the 4th District. She worked to get the hospital into Oldham County and getting a water line out Jericho Road.
