Discusses the impact of the Great Depression on population of Ormsby Village. Describes daily activities and meals. Discusses medical staff and care. Describes cottage assignment and physical layout. Talks about vocational training and different jobs at Ormsby Village. Discusses extra curricular activities, music, scouts, drama, and religious programs. Had interest in national news, would listen to the radio and read Courier-Journal.
