Michele McCrary recounts her time spent at in integrated high school in Louisville, Kentucky and her experiences while attending the school. She discusses her family's involvement with the NAACP and a trip to Frankfort to attend a statewide rally where she heard Martin Luther King Jr. speak. She describes unfair treatment shown to her while attending Eastern Kentucky University and the challenges she faced as a black student. McCrary concludes her interview by comparing race relations in Lexington with those in Louisville.
