Mrs. Kohorst recalls her school days and youth in Covington, names Catholic churches and schools in the area, remembers seeing her first automobile in 1905 or 1906: tells family story of her father having lived with a Native American Indian tribe: talks about operating a boarding house/tavern in Erlanger, the cost of beer by the barrel, whiskey by the case, food that was served free with the purchase of beer: the effect of prohibition (Volstead Act, 1919-1933).
