This project identifies and interviews some Kentuckians who have made significant contributions to science in the twentieth century. There are many scientists in Kentucky who have spent their professional lives teaching, doing research, and contributing service to the state and regional universities. Many have made outstanding contributions to the Kentucky Academy of Science as officers or leaders of Academy sponsored activities in the state. Included in this collection is an interview with Dr. William Lipscomb, Jr., who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1976.
